The day that revealed the worst things about humanity and yet in the middle of this dark moment of injustice, we see God at His very best.
His best moment. Our worst.
That’s the cross right? Where all of this collides into the most beautiful love story ever. My debt, my penalty brought there, but it’s not me hanging there as it should be, it’s Him. It’s Jesus – in my place.
So much happens here, and as I sit and reflect on this beautifully awful day, my mind is literally in overdrive. Blood, debt, payments, atonement, prophecies, justice, injustice, mercy, grace, torn curtains, timely sacrifices, covenant, mercy seats, earthquakes, darkness, and all of it part of a perfect plan.
I want to say something about this day, but it almost seems too much.
So I’ll sit. I’ll look. I’ll remember all the things. So many things.
All of them perfect.
All of them complete.
All of them to make the worst things beautiful again.
Perhaps the only words to say really is ….. Thank You Jesus!
